While March 8th was International Women’s Day, I can’t help but recognize the women I’m surrounded by this week in New Orleans. I am SO inspired by theirs dreams and their courage to take whatever necessary steps to accomplish them. Conferences and workshops are great ways to connect with like-minded women, to gain new perspectives and new friends. If the opportunity ever presents itself for you to attend one, I highly recommend them! But it doesn’t take a workshop or conference to make a difference in empowering women, doll. It starts with YOU and it starts right where you are NOW!

We have a tendency to think we can’t make a difference unless we’re involved in something bigger than ourselves. But in waiting for the grander chances in life, we miss out on the smaller opportunities all around us. We lose the trees for the forest, so to speak! Support Your Friends

Be there. While digitally you are just a text or tag away, there’s nothing more encouraging than the presence of a friend. Grab a coffee, pencil in a lunch date! Be that someone to lean on! 

Pay It Forward

Pay for the person’s coffee behind you. Hold the door open for that momma with her arms full and kids running off! Always strive to be an example of kindness — you never know who’s watching!

Reach Out to Someone

If you know someone who’s going through a hard time, let them know you’re thinking of them.
