Lifestyle & Fashion Guide No 10: Sugar + Spruce!

The Caroline Doll, CEO of POSH PR®, was thrilled to feature one of her sweetest clients, Sugar + Spruce, on The Lifestyle and Fashion Guide!

With a touch of whimsy and a dash of cheeky, Sugar + Spruce is always in the soap kitchen whipping up something sweet!

I can’t tell you how much fun we’ve had working with Sugar + Spruce, a bath and body apothecary. I was SO happy to feature them on “The Lifestyle and Fashion Guide”! What’s been particularly fun was that this was a re-branding project. PS: Click here to watch the TV segment!

Crystal and Morgan Wellman, a.k.a. the coolest mother-daughter duo, had already created quite the name for themselves in downtown Fredericksburg, Va. as Ladyburg Apothecary. Beloved by both their local and national online clientele, deciding to make the change was a risk. But in the spirit of true entrepreneurism, they jumped!

This actually reminds me of a Mark Zuckerberg quote I love, “The biggest risk is not taking any risk…In a world that is changing very quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking any risks.” While Crystal and Morgan loved what they created with Ladyburg, they felt they needed a fresh brand that could grow and change alongside their business. (Also, no longer being mistaken for as “Ladybug” was another win!) Working alongside them throughout this transition has been so fun!

With Sugar in the name, you’re safe to assume there’s something sweet at this apothecary. Ice-cream shaped soap? Marshmallow-infused candle? Whipped Sugar Scrubs? Although primarily full of treats for your skin, one stop by Sugar + Spruce and your mouth will be watering!

It’s funny that with a such a strong vision for Sugar + Spruce, the store personality almost evolved on its own! Their brand mascot is a cheeky little mermaid, who loves a good rhyme! With key words like treat, sophisticated, cheeky, luxury and colorful this brand is truly something wonderful!

One of Sugar + Spruce’s end goals was to increase their online presence. When planning their branding shoot, making sure to incorporate as many of their fun colors and patterns in a way that best showcases the store products and personality was key. Because we do live in such a visual world, styling your products in an eye-catching way is SO important!

We’re so happy to be planning an official re-brand launch party with them on February 15th! Bath-tub full of sugar sprinkles, anyone?

If your brand needs a fresh start, contact us here and and we promise to make that risk the ultimate reward!
