Fashion, Love + A Magazine Feature!

The Caroline Doll talks about her wonderful experience at the Richmond Wedding Show and her incredible feature in the newest edition of their magazine!

Happy Monday, dolls!  I hope all of you had a great weekend!

My weekend was spent having an AMAZING time at the Richmond Wedding Show hosted by Richmond Weddings Magazine!  Yes, that's right -- the owners of the Richmond Weddings Magazine (Hey, Amye + Scott!) also produce an incredible wedding show that they host twice a year at Altria Theatre. This time around I had an entirely different approach to the show.... Read more to find out why!

My favorite way to love on my brides is by educating them on a few wedding do's and don'ts.  That's why you can typically find me on stage during the Richmond Wedding Show with the VIP brides!  Getting to know them, of course, but also acting as their wedding planner for the day. Oh, we also work on the stage design for the fashion show.  This year we dressed the chairs with beautiful satin chair sashes by Glamour Linens and blooms by VOGUE.  It looked gorgeous!

I had the honor of kicking off the fashion show this weekend and introducing some STUNNING bridal gowns from Tiffany's Bridal.  (PS: Being an MC was never something I thought I would actually enjoy!) This show was probably my favorite by far.  The gowns were stunning, the models looked incredible and the brides and couples were having the best time.

True Story: I'm always beyond thrilled to see so many new faces and get to talk to lots of newly engaged brides.  But, the best part?  Being at the show this year as a MRS!  This was my first time at the show after being married last month!  I definitely felt a stronger connection with the couples I spoke with and was able to fully relate to them on another level.

I’ve always loved working with the Richmond Weddings team and I can’t even explain my joy when I saw the two page feature on POSH PR® in their magazine! This article, written by Shalese Kocher, touches on the many facets of the POSH PR® Bride experience and some of our PR adventures. When Shalese sat down and interviewed me, I was in the throws of planning my own wedding and making the leap from wedding planner to #weddingplannerbride. “I now realize that the most important thing to a bride is FEELING like a bride.” It definitely took planning my own wedding to truly understand the significance of the full bride experience.

You can pick up a copy of the newest Richmond Weddings Magazine to read the full article and get a bit more insight into the WHY behind POSH PR® taking on fewer brides.  Going from 20+ weddings a year to less than 10 was a scary business decision for me.  While I wish I could work with every single bride, I’m happy with this decision because it means more focus and attention on each individual bride!
