How To Become A Deal Closer

As you Dolls have probably noticed, I wear a lot of hats as the Boss Doll™ + CEO of POSH PR®.  One of my favorite hats to wear is my educator hat.  I love teaching and empowering other women to live the life they’ve always dreamed of living — this is my mission!  When I left my medical sales career to start a luxury PR and branding agency, I knew there were a lot of lessons I could take from that world and apply in my new role.  The main lesson I took from my time in the medical sales industry was how to close the deal.  You see, my company used to fly me all over to the country to do just this — win the sale!  I believe that everyone has God given gifts and, since I was a young girl, I’ve known mine was in sales.  In truth, I’ve used my sales skills a lot less in the PR world, but I still love to educate others on how to become deal closers!  Are you ready to learn my secrets?  Well here are a few tips so you can become a deal closer every single time!

TIP 1: Know Your Audience

This is a big one, Dolls!  Never go in blind.  With the digital world we live in, you have all the opportunity in the world to learn more about who you are talking with.  Try to find out their likes and dislikes so you can better connect with them.  The more you know, the more you’ll grow!  Put the time in beforehand to research and better understand who this person is and what they may be looking for.  These facts will help you to better connect with them and provide them with exactly what they are looking for.

TIP 2: Make Them Feel Wanted

It’s a simple human emotion to want to feel desired and wanted.  So Dolls, let them know you WANT their business.  In my opinion, it’s okay to be eager here!  When you tell someone you want to work with them, they will instantly feel that you want to serve them.  No games, no gimmicks — just honest truth!  Don’t be afraid to share with them how excited you’d be to be a part of their project.

TIP 3: Sell Yourself

I’m going to remind you right here Doll that you are GOLD — solid gold, baby!  Approach each new deal as an opportunity to share your expertise with someone new.  When you enter a room with confidence and poise, no one will be able to deny your sparkle!  When closing the deal, eye contact can translate into confidence and confidence can translate into dollars.  Position yourself as the expert that you are and SELL YOURSELF, Doll!  You have the ability to communicate that you ARE the best and that you are worth the investment.
