If you’re anything like me, then you all know it’s coffee all day long till it’s time for Champagne! But let’s be honest, coffee can be a lot of different things for different people. The possibilities are endless…

But, whatever the reason may be, one thing stays pretty consistent throughout and that’s our best friend Starbucks!  Starbucks is by far the largest coffee house chain in the world. But, why is it so successful you may ask?  What makes people keep coming back to Starbucks for more? Is it the coffee itself?  Well, as much as I like my Venti Blonde Skinny Carmel Macchiato with a splash of coconut milk, the truth is I don’t go to Starbucks for my drink.  If I was really that committed to the coffee then I would have started making specialty drinks from home a long time ago. 

The key reason behind their success is the overall experience that they provide their customers. It really is true, even when I tried to convince myself buying the 14 oz Starbucks brand iced bottle of my order was a better alternative than going everyday it just wasn’t the same as picking it up in person.  The baristas are so kind, personable, and will make an effort to remember you if you are a regular.  Making those human connections is what makes people keep coming back for more. As the owner of my own luxury branding and PR agency, I understand just how important these little touches are. It’s the little things like taking the time to write the customers name on their cup that really sets them apart from their competitors. After all, luxury is found within the details!

Also, I don’t know if it’s just me Dolls, but walking away with a Starbucks cup in my hand makes me feel like I have my life together even the days I’m struggling to pick out an outfit! Starbucks has it figured out.  They are intentional with their business decisions and know who their ideal customer is.  As CEO and Head Doll of POSH PR®, I strive to be the Business BFF™ of all my clients because I understand what a true and genuine human connection can provide to a person!
