Knot Your Average Up-Do How-To | The Caroline Doll | Beauty Blogger

Every doll has her go-to hairstyle. For me? It’s the up-knot. But not just any up-knot, doll. The Caroline Doll Up-Knot.

On day three hair-day (day eight, even)? No problem! All you need is a hairband, a bobby pin or two, hairspray (I love my Living proof® full dry volume blast!) and a brush! (This Diane No Knot Detangler by Fromm is a godsend!)

1.

To start? Section your hair off into two sections, parting it around the top crown of your head. For my dolls with hair extensions, be careful not to pull and tug too much! Keep it a little loose so as not to reveal your hair extensions not-so secret! You also don’t need to gather up too much hair because, well, I don’t have that much hair!

Loop your hair into a ponytail.

3.

Take your brush and tease away!

Personally, I like to add a little height to it. Cindy Lou Who style, ya know?! At this point, you’re probably thinking I’m crazy. But don’t worry, doll. Getting pretty isn’t always pretty. It will turn out perfect, I promise!

5.

Take your teased ponytail and wrap around into a bun with a hairband and secure your top-knot with bobby pins, preferably pink.

Next, I use Living Proof Full Dry Volume Blast and blast away. I like to spray right at my roots for a little va-va voom!

Party pretty, dolls!

This may not be my husband’s favorite look (ahem, Costa!), but I love it! It’s flirty and fun and most of all? It’s The Caroline Doll!
